Elena Rey: The Audiobook Narrator That's Like Having A Friend In Your Ear

When we first heard Elena Rey narrating the audiobook of Oye by Melissa Mogollon, we thought it was a dream scenario for a narrator. The entire novel is written through a series of phone calls, where you can only hear the main character Luciana speaking. Narrating as Luciana, Elena Rey took this actor's dream of a text and gave a show-stopping, emotional performance. They kept conversational through the highs and lows of the work, and left us chomping at the bit to hear more of what she could do as an audiobook narrator! They were an excellent addition to the first set of Vanguard Award winners, and we've gotten to watch as they've shot on to get recognition through Earphones, the Audies, and more.
